AN AFFIRMATION OF
FEMINIST PRINCIPLES

‘The affirmation of feminist principles’ has been drafted

through a rigorous, collaborative process jointly by

and LGBTIQ+ and trans-led organizations.

The initiators of this statement include:

Asia Pacific Alliance for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Asia Pacific Transgender Network (APTN), Association for Women’s Rights in Development (AWID), COC Netherlands, CREA, Diverse Voices and Action (DIVA) for Equality, GATE, Global Network of Sex Work Projects, ILGA World, International Planned Partenthood Federation (IPPF), L’Associacio Drets Sexuals I Reproductius, Outright Action International, RFSL - The Swedish Federation for LGBTQI Rights, RESURJ, Transgender Europe (TGEU), Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights, Women Deliver, Women Engage for a Common Future

The statement is an attempt to reaffirm what we believe are core feminist principles and to amplify the positions that many feminists have historically chosen to take in relation to understanding gender, sex and sexuality.

We invite both individuals and organizations to sign-on to this statement, and share it widely with your networks.
